Meet the Staff Mondays: Two New Faces |

Since we have welcomed several new employees in the past year, let’s welcome back Meet the Staff Mondays!
Meet our new Accounting Manager, Brant Hendricks

What did you do before coming to TSI?
I worked at Boeing in St. Louis for 4.5 years as an Accountant and Financial Analyst. My wife and I decided to move back to central Illinois and I took a job at Health Alliance as a Financial Analyst. I only worked there for 6 months before finding this position at TSI.
What’s something your coworkers don’t know about you?
They probably don’t know that I worked as an intern for a minor league baseball team for a summer during college. I did everything from ticket sales, marketing, concession stand management, to being the PA announcer. I even had to be the mascot once—it was a turtle in case you were wondering. I would have loved to work in the baseball industry and had a great time doing so. Unfortunately I learned there is not very much money to be made and I know that at some point I would have to eat more than the free ballpark food.
Meet our new Business Assistant, Nanette Baldarotta

What did you do before coming to TSI?
Before TSI, I was the Office Manager at Chesser Financial in Champaign for 9 ½ years. Chesser Financial is a small, privately-owned financial services business. As Office Manager, I pretty much did everything to keep the office up and running on a daily basis: supervised the support staff, performed the accounting function, was the HR department, acted as personal assistant to the owner, provided customer service to the owner’s client base.
What’s something your coworkers don’t know about you?
Hmmmm…most people around here probably don’t know a lot about me yet so I could say just about anything! Like, being a 2nd generation Sicilian, I love to eat but hate to cook. I don’t have the patience for it, but luckily my brother loves it so we (me and my 3 sisters) rely on him for yummy holiday meals. However, the event that has recently helped to shape my life is being a breast cancer survivor. I am a 6 year survivor and one of my sisters is a 7 year survivor. Yeah, kind of bad timing. Any cancer survivor will be able to talk about what the experience has taught them and believe me, they are ALL valid lessons. For me, there were many small observations along the way (like the good part of losing your hair!??!!) but overall, it was a journey that was a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual challenge. I learned that “pain is inevitable, but misery is optional,” and I learned that you have to step boldly into whatever life brings you. Sorry to be so philosophical, but as life goes on it sometimes forces you to be!!
