DescriptionIn a place where science meets society, visitors from all over the world are inspired by a physical structure that turns science into art. The code of life, the double helix DNA strand, portrays the beauty of life through sculpture. The essence abstractly depicts the double helix with a layered array of images and words. Fabric layers, stainless steel wires, vibrant colors and lighting can’t help but draw the eyes of visitors. It is a stunning vocal point in the west lobby of Genomic building. At night the sculpture brings light to the lobby as science brings light to darkness. Another exhibit we completed in the lobby on Carle Woese visually ties to the helix sculpture.
