The Dollars and Sense of Exhibits

Tuesday, October 6, 2015 4:33 PM by Betty Brennan in Budgeting and Costs

Last month, we hosted a webinar about museum exhibit design and fabrication pricing, fees, cost breakdown, and value engineering. We had such an overwhelmingly positive response that we reached our attendee limit on the first broadcast. Therefore, we offered a second, equally successful broadcast to help share our insights on this hot topic. Pete and Renee introduced a couple of case studies, walked the audience through the design components, and then shared the line-by-line cost breakdown of the exhibits. They also offered suggestions for value engineering, and detailed costs that clients overlook, such as administrative, shipping, and handling.

Positive feedback, numerous attendees, and requests for additional cost-related content moved us to dedicate our October blog to budgeting. Check back each week as lead estimator and account executive, Drew Levan, shares valuable exhibit design and fabrication pricing tools that will help you successfully plan your new exhibit(s). You can look forward to learning more about square footage pricing, the budget-schedule relationship, and some helpful downloadable tools, including a comprehensive budgeting template.
