Case Study: Miller Park Zoo

A journey through a rainforest at Miller Park Zoo is what visitors experience when visiting the Central Illinois Zoo. The trip takes visitors along a winding path through the jungles of Central and South America. Encouraged to become eco-tourists, visitors experience a rainforest with birds in free flight, buttress trees, and various jungle plants. Animal enclosures blend into the tropical environment housing marmosets, coatimundi, and two-toed sloths.

Taylor Studios designed and built the rainforest exhibit. A mural was painted on-site and a water feature was installed to enhance visitors’ experiences. We also built a field/research station on-site and included LED push-button interactives.
