Taylor Studios Promotes Samantha Tableriou to Design Manager

Samantha Tableriou, senior graphic designer at Taylor Studios, has been promoted to design manager. Tableriou joined the Taylor Studios team in 2006, after completing graduate work at Eastern Illinois University. While with Taylor Studios, Tableriou’s track record has been impressive. She has shown leadership skills in many realms including project management. During the 2008-2009 school year, she juggled two jobs – graphic designer at Taylor Studios and instructor at EIU. Both were done well, proving her time management skills. Before the promotion, Jason Cox served as both design manager and art director. Betty Brennan, president, said that “given the growth we are expecting in 2010, it is time to separate the design manager and art director roles allowing Jason to focus solely on art direction. Given Sam’s creativity, talent, and impeccable track record, I am happy to announce Sam’s promotion to department head and a member of the executive management team.”

In Grim Economy, Taylor Studios is Experiencing Unprecedented Growth

For a small company located in the heart of America, news of the economic crisis has not damped the spirits of its employees. As many companies are facing layoffs and closures, Taylor Studios is thriving.

In 2007, the company bought the vacant Wal-Mart building in Rantoul. They are in the process of redesigning the 63,000 square foot space so all 40+ employees will be working together under one roof. The production department has been at home in the new building for almost a year. Office space is currently being designed for the design department, project management office, and the administrative staff. The goal is to have everyone in the new building by 2010.

Taylor Studios began 2008 with 28 employees. They will be ending the year with over 40 and are stilling hiring. Betty Brennan, company co-founder and president says, “It’s a great time to join our company. You’ll have a hand in creating exhibits that are seen by thousands and be part of educating the public on topics ranging from US History to environmental preservation.” Brennan attributes the company’s success to well defined processes and procedures, a commitment to customer service, and some of the best employees in the industry.

Founded in 1991 and located in Rantoul, IL, Taylor Studios has been collaborating on exhibits for visitor centers, museums, nature centers, and zoos and is known for their quality, reliability and attention to detail. They are recognized throughout the industry as a leader in exhibit design and fabrication. Their experience encompasses immersive environments, outdoor signage, scenic work, interactives, models, murals, and dioramas. In 2000, Inc. Magazine named Taylor Studios among the 500 fastest growing companies in America. In 2007, they were listed among the 5000 fastest growing companies. This growth can be attributed to their outstanding quality and their ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
