Fort
Sheridan Forest Preserve sits on the shore of
Lake Michigan north of Chicago. A former Army
base with more than a century of active service,
Fort Sheridan has a rich history and a beautiful
setting brought to life by Taylor’s extensive
interpretive trail signage and interactive exhibits.
These include a 30ft. wide Red-tailed Hawk’s
nest, a reconstruction of a WW II anti-aircraft
gun emplacement, and reconditioned iron gates
and gatepost. |
