Stone
Mountain is a giant granite monadnock just outside
Atlanta, GA. This learning center investigates
the ecology and geology of this interesting mountain.
The objective of the exhibit is to serve as a
geological and ecological primer for visitors
who plan to explore the mountain.
The theme of the gallery is that Stone Mountain,
as well as the shape of the earth's landscape,
are the result of the natural forces acting upon
them. The central attraction of the exhibit is
an underground theatre, which signifies the birth
and development of the mountain. |
