Are you conscientious?  Are you dependable, reliable, responsible, organized, careful and thorough?  Conscientiousness is highly correlated to being successful in many aspects of life:

Academic and workplace performance It is the best predictor of better performance in the work place.  Low levels of this trait lead to procrastination.

Well-Being – conscientious people tend to be happier with their lives

Health and Longevity – this has been researched extensively by the Longevity Project

Relationships – Conscientiousness has a direct influence on the quality of your relationships.  You are more responsible and more responsive to your partners.

Conscientious people tend to arrive on time, follow the rules, avoid risk and have excellent impulse control.  If you would like to test your conscientiousness, you can take this personality test.

The test will rate your:

Industriousness – do you work hard?

Order – are you organized and neat?

Virtue – are you honest?

Traditionalism – do you follow social norms?

Self- Control – are you careful and cautious?

Responsibility – are you reliable?

It frustrates me when others are not conscientious.  I especially get riled when people are late, don’t do what they say they are going to do and are generally unreliable.  How about you?
