Eleven Questions To Test Honesty and Integrity

Our mission, core values and strategies to achieve these set the culture at Taylor Studios.  They are critical to our success.  When recruiting we look for people that can fit our culture.   Our number one core value is honesty and integrity.  We look for the highest level of integrity in those we hire.  It is how we operate day to day.  We also prefer to only work with clients that hold this value.

Ask yourself these questions to test your way of looking at integrity and honesty:

  1. Can you give me an example of when you paid a price to maintain integrity?

  2. Do you do what you say you are going to do?

  3. Do you keep secrets from your spouse?  Are you secretive in general?

  4. If a waitress does not claim tips on their tax return is that ethical? If a large corporation avoided the tax in the same way is that ethical? Is working a cash job to avoid taxes or to garner some type of government payment ethical?

  5. If a coworker left early several times unbeknownst to the boss, would you cover for them? Would you cover for a coworker in general leaving early, long lunch, taking home office supplies, etc.

  6. Do you speed? If someone says no, that would be very questionable in an interview.

  7. If you were overpaid on your pay check would you speak up?

  8. Have you ever called in sick when you werent?

  9. Have you ever been in a situation at work where your honesty was tested?

  10. Have you ever been in a situation where you had to make something sound better than it was?

  11. Have you ever been honest to a friend and lost the friendship because of it?
