A Packers Fan

Recently I had the opportunity to attend a Green Bay Packers game in Green Bay.  Yes, I’m a huge Packers fan.

The tailgating, being surrounded by everything Packers, and the game itself was great leaving me very satisfied and excited about my visit. All that stuff is excellent and a huge part of the experience, but one thing stood out to me the most and left a huge impression.  This wall of stockholder tiles.

Green Bay Packers Stockholders Wall

What an amazing way to make your fans feel like owners and a part of the organization.  My uncle is a proud owner and couldn’t wait to show me his tile.  I gotta say after seeing that tile it made the trip for me.  It felt great to cheer for the Packers because I honestly felt like they were truly grateful for having my uncle and me as fans.

An Emotional Connection

The whole “stockholder” campaign by the Green Bay organization was an extremely effective campaign in my opinion.  It was genius because it connected the organization to the fan on an emotional level.  The emotional connection that makes the experience that much more enjoyable every time that fan attends a game.

Experience matters and is what leaves you wanting more or wanting to come back.  It’s what you remember and helps you learn when you visit a museum or exhibition.  Connecting on the emotional level and not just the intellectual level is key.
