So you have a big message to get across. Does that message have to carry a big price tag? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t. Below are four ways to cover the same content from vastly different price points.

Oversized Dimensional Model

No question here, oversized exhibits are cool. It could be argued these kinds of “wow” experiences are why visitors go to museums. Does this undeniably eye catching exhibit support your central theme? Does the content point covered here merit such an investment? Perhaps…

Dimensional Model

Still a piece with dynamism, but on a more life-size scale. Is this approach more in line with your budget?

Large 2D cutout

Here our dino shows up as a cutout. The possibilities with graphic cutouts are endless, and the impact they can make, especially when layered in a scene, can be impressive.

Vinyl Wall Decal aka “Big Sticker”

Though some might be turned off by this flat and strictly graphic approach, would you take a second look at a life-size dino on the wall? I know I would.

What do you think? Could these approaches could carry the same interpretive weight?
