Ten Year Warranty

Who out there loves a good warranty? If you’re like me, when you buy something there’s an expectation that it will last longer than a year. Most of the time retailers will offer an extended warranty for a few extra dollars to extend the warranty a few years out. Just the other night I purchased a power drill and was offered an extended 2-year warranty (no questions asked for total replacement) for a total of $4.00. To me it was a no brainer to pay the four bucks. Knowing that the product you just purchased is backed by the maker makes you feel good about the money you spent and might even contribute to brand loyalty.

Here at Taylor Studios we have always looked at what we do through the consumer’s or client’s eyes. If we were in their shoes and had an issue, how would we want to be treated? What would be our expectations? For several years now we have offered a five-year warranty on everything we make. It’s offered on all products we make but not on items that we purchase such as electronics because we can’t control the manufacturers quality on these. As far as we know, it’s the only warranty of its kind in the design/build museum market. If we hire a subcontractor to help us out with a sculpture or to fabricate an exhibit component, the TSI five-year warranty covers their work also. We feel strongly that the subcontractor is a reflection of Taylor Studios and if we don’t like or trust their quality then we shouldn’t be using them anyway.

If you think our five–year warranty sounds good, what about a ten-year warranty? You heard right! We recently increased our design/build warranty to ten years and it still covers everything the five-year warranty covered. Now, we should say that it doesn’t cover vandalism or misuse of the exhibit. To help combat these issues as much as we reasonably can, TSI designs and fabricates using proven methods and materials that have been tested over our 24 years of company history. Every project we work on is a learning experience and the lessons we learn often lead to modifications or tweaks in our quality standards. Our goal is to ensure that we always offer a high quality product that lasts.

Building relationships is what we do. We know that when you choose Taylor Studios to design and fabricate your exhibit(s) you are putting your trust in us and that’s huge! Standing behind our product is one way we say thank you for your trust and business.
