TSI’s President Betty Brennan and Interpretive Planner Leah Rainey are off to Starved Rock State Park this Friday to give a presentation on interpretive planning and exhibit copy writing at the 2019 Illinois Association of Conservation Districts (IACD) Conference.

Committed to restoring and sustaining our natural resources, IACD comprises professionals from park districts, conservation districts, and forest preserves throughout the state. We look forward to meeting with some of our fellow nature lovers and having a lively discussion about interpretive writing.

And of course, we’re always stoked to get back up to Starved Rock. Not only is this gorgeous park Betty’s old stomping grounds (shout out to Streator, IL!), but TSI’s as well: we designed and built their exhibits in 2001, and we’re so proud to say they’re still standing today, holding up to more than 2 million visitors per year! That’s right—when we say we “designed and built to last,” we mean it!

In true #TBT fashion, here are a few photos from when the exhibits were first installed.
